At the North Minneapolis Greenway Open Streets, we'll have sod block parties that will serve as "pop-up" greenways to demonstrate what the greenway concept will feel like. From curb-to-curb, the blacktop will be covered in sod. The morning Sod Squad (first shift) will help set up three sod block parties along the route. The evening Sod Squad (second shift) will help clean up the sod block parties and re-install the sod with partnering organizations and residents to green-up nearby public spaces.
There are 2 shifts to choose from:
- 9:00am - 10:30am
- 3:00pm - 5:00pm
