To keep the street “open” we need to keep cars off the street during the event. Volunteers are needed at most intersections to set up the barricades (first shift only); take down the barricades (last shift only); take tallies of pedestrians, bikers and other non-motorists in your section for 15 minutes each hour (3 intersections only), and make sure no cars turn onto Humboldt/Girard while the street is closed (ALL Shifts). You will also receive chalk during your shift. Please help engage guests by adding creative drawings to your intersection and asking event-goers to help out! This is a fun way to volunteer with a friend and engage passersby. 

There are 3 shifts to choose from:

•  9:30am-12:00pm
•  11:30am-2:00pm
•  1:30pm-4:00pm
