On Saturday, December 16th, 2017 the first-ever Winter Open Streets at Holidazzle took place on Nicollet Mall and Grant St! Connected with Holidazzle in Loring Park, Winter Open Streets was be a celebration of winter in Minneapolis along the newly reopened Nicollet.

The route followed Nicollet from 5th St S to Grant St and Grant St from Nicollet to Holidazzle in Loring Park. In the heart of downtown, this event was full of opportunities to explore all the best that downtown Minneapolis has to offer, including the new Nicollet!

Storymobile came to the event and collected stories from people attending Winter Open Streets at Holidazzle.

The City of Minneapolis came to the event to engage visitors about the upcoming Hennepin Avenue Downtown Reconstruction.

On Grant St, The Loring Zone featured live music, games, and crafts.

With food, local businesses, and family fun all along the route bringing visitors to Holidazzle, Winter Open Streets at Holidazzle was a unique experience for the over 2,500 guests who attended. Slow Roll MPLS even hosted a ride right through the middle of the event!

Winter Open Streets at Holidazzle was presented by Our Streets Minneapolis, the City of Minneapolis, the ​mpls downtown council, and the Center for Prevention at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
