Each year, communities across the city gather to experience a day on their street without cars. By volunteering at an Open Streets Minneapolis event, you can help us create a welcoming and engaging environment for visitors, organizations, and businesses across the city. Visit our volunteer page to learn about opportunities to get involved at each event.

Stay Safe at Open Streets Minneapolis

The health of our communities is of the highest priority to Our Streets Minneapolis. Health care experts, including the CDC, say that gathering outdoors is one of the safest ways to interact with your community during the pandemic.

To slow the spread further, Our Streets Minneapolis recommends that all Open Streets Minneapolis attendees are vaccinated to protect against COVID-19. We also ask that all participants and attendees, regardless of vaccination status, be mindful of maintaining social distance and bring a mask to wear in crowded areas or enclosed spaces. We request that unvaccinated persons please wear a mask at all times when attending Open Streets Minneapolis events.

Thank you to our partners on Franklin, East Lake, Nicollet, Northeast, and Nokomis for their continued partnership. While we aren't able to host events along these routes in 2021, we look forward to continued collaboration with these partners.
