This is the most important volunteer position at Open Streets! To keep the street “open” we need to keep cars off the street during the event. Volunteers are needed at most intersections to set up the barricades (first shift only); take down the barricades (last shift only); take tallies of pedestrians, bikers and other non-motorists in your section for 15 minutes each hour (3 intersections only), and make sure no cars turn onto Lowry Avenue while the street is closed (ALL Shifts). You will also receive chalk during your shift. Please help engage guests by adding creative drawings to your intersection and asking event-goers to help out! 

There are 4 shifts to choose from:

•  10:30am-1:00pm
•  12:30am-3:00pm
•  2:30pm-5:00pm
•  4:30pm- 6:30pm
